Counting down to thanksgiving

I have much to be thankful for this past year. Don't we all?
The good always outweighs the negative and many times, the negatives become positives (hopefully sooner than later)

In the spirit of thanksgiving, I am going to dedicate each day this week to one thing I am thankful for. Yay. I know this is very cliche, but I'm going to do it anyway, my way. ha.

Monday: i am thankful for.......HEAT (& warmth)- the kind where you feel giddy and fuzzy inside.

* HOT showers--- that last for at least 20 minutes after a long day of work. Sometimes I just soak myself in HOTNESS until I get all wrinkly and the whole b-room is misty. Ahh, feels good.
* HOT car seats--- I leave around 4AM everyday, and when the weather for that day is 60degrees sunny, it stills means it's 40degrees dark-cloudy-cold in the wee mornings. I love how I can toast my butt in my car seat warmer.
* HOT bed--- meaning, fleece blankets and plush pillows. I can just sink in and drea...ZzzzZzzz
* HOT men---  hehe, just kidding...

Falling leaves, falling prices

Fall time is in full gear now with brisk weather, yellow-orange-red leaves, and thanksgiving just around the corner.

The economy is somewhat better, and consumer spending increased (just a tad) since last year during this time. Nevertheless, we are still wary of our spending and on-sale items never looked so good.

Check out these on-sale finds from Nordstrom!
Gotta love the warm colors...

ps. free shipping on orders over $100 with promo code: HOLIDAY09

Gratitude for the next season

Apparently the recession has ended.

But we still have a long...long..way to fully recover.
With about 5million jobs lost since the recession, (January 2009 alone suffered a 65,000+ loss of jobs..!), people have been spending less and foreclosures sprouted in neighborhoods left and right...
The economy has fallen down to the pits, and now the only direction to go is uP!
And if you have a job today, be THANKFUL.
It's always sad to hear about good, hardworking people getting cut.
The leaves may fall, but don't let your hopes go down, too.
